The New Minnesota Stadium will have the largest transparent ETFE roof of any structure in North America, spanning 240,000 square feet. Combined with the significant amount of glass throughout the building, the clear ETFE will give fans an outdoor experience in a climate-controlled environment.
The end of 2015 will bring about the full enclosure of the stadium. The remaining seven months will be focused primarily on interior design work. The Vikings 24/7 live construction cameras will capture all of the bowl work through opening day.
In July 2016, after more than three and a half years of construction, the New Minnesota Stadium will officially open for the first time in July 2016. The Vikings first 2016 preseason game will occur just weeks later.
The new 65,000+ seat stadium will be the Vikings fourth home, following stints at the Met, the H.H.H. Metrodome and the University of Minnesota. Combined with a nearly two-block park adjacent to the stadium, Vikings fans will enjoy one of the best game day experiences in the NFL.
Be the first to see the New Minnesota Stadium, even before it’s built! The New Stadium Preview Center overlooks the construction site and includes two mock suites, a 24-seat Club section, and architectural stadium and city scape models.
A New Stadium Sales Representative will guide you through the Preview Center and answer all your questions about the venue and the new Vikings Gameday experience.
You can select the perfect location for you by using 360-degree panoramic views from 373 vantage points in the stadium.
